One Health Student Camp 2021 recruits members

1. Purpose

After participating in this activity students can:

• Describe the epidemiological characteristics of avian influenza and prevention measures.
• Recognizing the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in disease prevention risk communication.
• Applying One Health (MSK) core competencies in disease prevention implementation planning.
• Implement an interdisciplinary collaboration in Avian Influenza risk communication in a specific community.

• Expected time to organize communication activities: August 20-22, 2021
• Participants
• Students from schools in the entire VOHUN network can apply to attend.
• Number: A total of 40 students attended.
• Instructions to join

Audience: All students studying at VOHUN Network member schools, full of health, knowledgeable about One Health, Avian Influenza, full of enthusiasm, eager to learn and exchange can register to participate. In order to select 40 students to attend the Camp, the students who register for the camp will participate in an online selection round (online) in June, 2021, including  3 parts  as follows:

Note:  Participants must complete the following sections to be eligible for grading.

Note: Before filling in personal information in the registration form, students prepare photo files (student card, personal photo) to upload in the registration information.

*Step 2: Online test:

After registering to participate (instructions for part a), students take the online exam, including 3 parts:

-> Part 1:  Essay:  Faced with information about side effects when receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, many people are afraid to make the decision to vaccinate or not. What is your opinion on this matter?

-> Part 2: Rhetoric: Each student filmed a VIDEO to present their speech contest with the topic: According to me, to successfully organize a risk communication activity in the community, I need to prepare myself What skills? Which skill do you think is the most important?

The eloquent content is on topic, clear and civilized
Video is clear
Plus points for articles using English (with subtitles)

-> Part 3: Online multiple-choice test with 20 questions.

*Note with the test:

In the test, there will be a first part that includes basic personal information so that the organizers will later identify your test with the information in the application form.
The test consists of 20 questions, done in 25 minutes (including time to fill in personal information: full name, school, email, phone number). After you submit the answer, BTC will calculate the completion time based on the time from the start of access to the time of submission. Those whose time exceeds 25 minutes will not be graded. Therefore, please note the time to submit your essay before the end of 25 minutes.
Each contestant is only allowed to access once. For candidates who submit the test more than once, the organizers will score based on the exam with the earliest submission time.
The test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, true and false, with short words in English.

5. Deadline for submission:

For part 1 (essay) and part 2 (rhetoric) candidates can return to the organizers any time before the deadline (deadline: 30/06/2021) to email (onehealthcamp@vohun.org).
For part 3 (online test), the office will open the test link from  9:00 on June 15 and close the link at 17:00 on June 18. Please note the time to arrange personal work and take the test during this time.
Total score: The maximum total score is 100 points, of which 20 points for the test, 40 points for the essay and 40 points for the rhetoric.
For candidates with the same number of points, BTC will score according to the criteria of submission of papers before or after.

6. Timeline:

Date VP sent notice and registration link: 07/06/2021
Date VP opens and closes the link to take the test: June 15 – June 18, 2021
Deadline for essays and rhetoric: June 30, 2021
Result announcement: 10/07/2021 (publicize on website, facebook and send personal email)
Confirmed to attend the official camp: July 15, 2021

* Note:
In order to ensure the connection of activities as well as the purpose of exchanging camps with all students of member schools. The organizers decided to select 40 students to attend the camp according to the following criteria:

• 01 student was awarded a direct entry to the inner circle of the Camp through the Competition of Risk Communication about diseases of wild animals.
• 24 students have the highest scores of each of the 24 member schools (participating in all 3 exams).
• 15 students have the highest scores from high to low among the candidates participating in 3 exams.
• Students, after receiving the results of eligibility to attend the Camp, need a confirmation from the faculty/school to participate in the camp.
